I have a 2.2GHz Athlon in my basement running PH, eH server, web server, A/V file server, and Winamp (for now). This machine's video is piped to my living room TV.
The audio goes to a receiver that drives speakers in the basement and kitchen, and also goes to a modulator that puts audio onto my phone lines. I have demodulators on the second floor for the master bedroom and master bath. In the bedroom, I just have PC-type amplified speakers. For the bath, there is another receiver in the linen closet that connects to a single, dual-coil speaker in the bath ceiling. This receiver gets controlled via a USB-UIRT and a Powermid in the closet.
My entryway is home to a 15" Dell touch screen driven by an HP EPC tucked under a bench.
I used to plan on using an iPaq PPC for additional control, but have since acquired a Windows Mobile phone that is waiting for the PPC portion of eHome.
I find that most control is actually done with X10 PalmPads and Stick-a-Switches in each room.
My main PC is a 1GHz Athlon. From here, I can control things via browser or the eHome client.
