Recipe Index cards like the phone listing in the office

Postby YAKfletch on Fri Mar 09, 2007 1:21 pm

Steve,

Since installing your software suite I have been trying to get my wife on board with it's use. She is currently addicted to the BLOXX game. Would it be worthwile to create an idex card feel screen for Recipes very similar to the phone listings you have in the office main tab? Or would that just take up limited resources, bogging down the system and be better addressed by going to the internet tab and putting in Kraft foodnetwork as a favorite.

One thing that I would definitely find a plus in home automating is a way of grocery inventory. I don't know how many time we have gone to the grocery store and bought items that we already have stashed somewher else in the house already. Something to create a grocery list or by what you have on hand, or at least the ability to manually create a grocery list and log in coupons so you know what coupons you have that haven't expired.

End outcome being a grocery list with current needs and correlating non expired coupons list in order to print them both off and go to the grocery store prepared.

What do you think?

Keith. Thats it!!!! This is for the home, its not just for music and movies! Yes, on the list is a Recipes and yes grocery inventory is on the list too with bar code support!!! Don't worry about resources. eHome is a light system, its playing video and browsing the web that eat your resources.

Ahhhh, finally someone with my same vision!!!

Well if yo like that on, you'll love this (Car sch maint)

Postby YAKfletch on Fri Mar 09, 2007 2:06 pm

I would love to integrate a maintennance schedule for my cars. I can never remember between the three cars and two tractors and one lawn tractor, what needs oil changed and air filter and tire rotation when. And you know if you take it to the garage they are going to try and upsell you what you don't need. I would like to bring up a list of vehicles with all the perinents to fill in like make/model/ size engine/ 2door-4foor-extended cab that they always aske when I make an appointment and know when what was done to it when without having to did through all the excess paperwork in the glove box or file cabinent to track down it's history. I would also include when innspection/ emissions and registration and insurance is due on the vehicles.

That would make my life automated for sure!

Maybe its shouldn't be limited to just the car maintenance schedule. Maybe with us with required (mileage checkups) or for us years checkups. I know at some point in years in my life I chould go get that colonoscopy check thing done. Do you think I want to remember it, do you think I would if I could. They aske me at the doctors, what all services I have had performed and when to get my history. I don't remember what I did last week sometimes, let alone what I did with the doctor a few years back, but I guarranty you this; IT WAS PROBABLY NOT FUN OR MEMORABLE!!!!! :)P

I know jake has code for calander scheduling and recurring items etc.. It will just be added to the list i'm sure. It's a great idea! I always forget to take my car in for the oil change and by the time i look at that sticker on the windshield, it's way overdue :)
